Swatch Time: Essie Sable Collar

Hey everyone!

This is my second post of the day! Yayy! I'll try to post more regularly from now on. :)

Anyway, I have my pick from the new Essie Winter 2013 "Shearling Darling" Collection to show you. This polish is Essie Sable Collar, which is a lovely chocolate color that almost looks burgundy, and has a lovely microshimmer that you can see in the light. The formula was nice and I used two coats for the pictures below.

This is such a pretty polish! It's perfect for the fall and winter!

Did any of the polishes in this collection catch your eye?

My Fall Haul 2013

Hey nail polish enthusiasts!

Since it seems that a the winter collections are starting to come out (even though it is just now Fall), I thought I would do a haul post on the polishes I got during the nail polish fall season (from August-the first week of October).

Here we go:

The deep red shimmer polish on the left (sorry, it looks maroon in the picture) is China Glaze Red-y & Willing, which was my pick from the China Glace Autumn Nights Collection. The second polish is China Glaze Flying South from the China Glaze On The Horizon Collection, a really pretty bar glitter topper with copper microglitter. The blue duochrome polish is Orly Angel Rain, from the Fall Orly Surreal Collectin.

Next up is five polishes from the Sinful Colors Leather Luxe Collection, which I won from a giveaway. The polishes from left to right are Leather Loose, Cold Leather, Whipped, Strapped, and My Turn.

Swatches: Part 1 (including Leather Loose and Strapped), Part 2  (including Cold Leather, Whipped, and My Turn)

These next polishes are the ones are my random ones that I either got from the drug store, Walmart, or a clothing store. The first one pictured is Sally Hansen Blue Me Away!, which I bought because it's a really pretty blue. Since I ran out of my previous white polish, I bought Pure Ice Superstar! which is a pretty good polish for the price. Lastly is an unamed polish that I got free from Delia's, which is a pretty neon yellow duochrome that flashes a pink and purple (sorry you can't see it from the picture).

The last polish I bought which isn't pictured in this haul is Essie Cashmere Bathrobe, my pick from Essie's Fall 2013 "For The Twill of It" Collection. It's a lovely grey color with silver shimmer, which you can see from the swatch I did here.

Well that's all for this haul post. I didn't end up buying a whole lot this season, but I've been seeing a bunch of pretty polishes from the winter collections coming out, so I'll hopefully have more polishes to show you in an upcoming Winter Haul!

Galaxy Nails

Hey everyone!

Sorry it's been awhile since I last posted, but today have some pretty cool galaxy nails to show you!

I modeled my galaxy nails off of Jen's from her blog Polish and Pearls, where she does an awesome video tutorial (which you can see here).

Here's my mani:

The Polishes I used were:
Sinful Colors Black on Black (base color)
Orly Angel Rain (blue duocrome, the first color I dabbed on)
a indigo polish by Delia's (second color I dabbed on)
China Glaze Pool Party (neon pink, third color I dabbed on)
and a mixed glitter by NYX (dabbed on last)

This was a really easy manicure to do, and you really only need a makeup sponge to do it. For more on the "how to" check out Jen's awesome tutorial linked above! Have you guys ever done galaxy nails?

Anyway, have a great rest of your Saturday! I should be posting more regularly this week since I have a four day weekend! :D

Breast Cancer Awarness Braided Nails

Hey everyone!

Since the month of October is BCA (Breast Cancer Awareness) month, I have a BCA mani for you today!
Making a BCA mani has been something I definitely wanted to do for all of those fighting breast cancer as well as those who have fought breast cancer, like my Grandma.

Eight years ago, my Grandma was diagnosed with Breast Cancer, and had to undergo several treatments (Chemo and surgery). After seeing her suffer through it, I have seen first hand how awful cancer can be. Since she was in her late 70's when she got diagnosed, her doctors all said that she probably wouldn't make it since her body would have a really hard time going through chemo (especially since it's already hard on younger-aged women). Thankfully, my Grandma fought it hard made it through, and is 85 years old now and breast cancer free! :)

However, not everyone is that lucky. So, I'm so glad I've been seeing a whole bunch of BCA mani's all over the nail blog world! Hopefully someday, there will be a cure.

Anyway, here's my mani:

The polishes I used were:
Pure Ice Superstar
Love & Beauty Pink/Gold
and a gold polish by Charlotte Russe

Thanks for reading!

Happy first day of October everyone!

Now that it's finally October, I'm starting to think about Halloween! So even though I'm a little early, I did a spider web mani with a little spider on my ring finger.

Here it is:
Although definitely not the best mani I've ever done, it still looks pretty cute! :)

Polishes used:
-Sinful Colors Black on Black
-Sinful Colors Tempest (the purple for the spider)
-China Glaze Pool Party (neon pinkish red)

Have a great rest of the day!
